Tenpin Bowling is a popular and engaging sport that combines physical skill, precision, and strategy. Bowling can trace its roots back to ancient civilizations, but the modern game developed in the late 19th century in the United States. Today, it is enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels, both recreationally and competitively.
The aim of the RAF Tenpin Bowling Association (RAFTBA) is to promote the sport throughout the Royal Air Force and encourage personal fitness and healthy living whilst having a great time!
The association run several teams of varying abilities at all levels of competition, from Local Competition to International Events. They have successfully qualified for the European Corporate Championships every year since their first attempt and were proud to place 2nd in 2018.
The RAFTBA offers a wide range of activities to all personnel, from beginners at club level to those who have gained international honours in recent years. Its blend of physical skill, mental focus, and strategic planning makes it a unique and enjoyable sporting activity.
