RAF Martial Arts

RAF Martial Arts Association

The RAF Martial Arts Association is open to all martial arts practitioners within the Royal Air Force, promoting a wide range of disciplines, fostering skill development, and sharing knowledge and experience.

We meet monthly at RAF Digby to train and compete in a friendly and supportive environment. These sessions culminate in the annual RAF Martial Arts Championships, where we select the team for the annual Inter-Services Martial Arts Championships. Exceptional performance at these Championships can ultimately lead to selection for the Armed Forces Martial Arts Squad.

In addition to our regular training sessions, we organise general training weekends, allowing members to practice a variety of martial arts, and sports tours to exciting locations. These activities provide opportunities for members to broaden their skills and experience different martial arts cultures.

We are open to personnel from across the Whole Force, welcoming everyone from novices to black belts. Our inclusive approach ensures that all members, regardless of their experience level, can benefit from and contribute to our vibrant community.

By joining our Assoication, you will be part of a growing cadre of martial arts practitioners dedicated to developing true fighting spirit across the Service. Whether you are looking to learn a new sport, improve your existing skills, or compete at higher levels, we offer a supportive environment to help you achieve your goals.
