RAF Rugby League Association Deputy Chair and Secretary Vacancy
2025 is set to be a fantastic year for RAF Rugby League with the Association hosting the Royal Australian Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force Rugby League teams for a Tri-Nations tournament and the Men’s First team looking to retain their status as the UK Armed Forces Inter-Services Champions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Executive Committee of the RAF Rugby League Association which is responsible for providing safe and meaningful opportunities for RAF personnel of all abilities and experience levels to participate and succeed in Rugby League. Reporting to the Chair and working closely with fellow Executive Committee Members (the Chief Operations Officer and Sponsorship & Engagements Officer), the Deputy Chair / Secretary position is a crucial role which ensures that:
- the Governance of RAF Rugby League is fit for purpose,
- leadership and guidance is provided to those in the Treasurer, Safety, Medical & Welfare and Development roles,
- leadership and clear direction is provided to the highly motivated and dedicated members of the RAF Rugby League Steering Group and those fulfilling support roles,
- that the 3-year strategy is comprehensive, involves all key stakeholders and captures/helps to facilitate the fantastic opportunities available to Association Members,
- that the Association’s activities comply and adhere to National Governing Body (Rugby Football League) and RAF Sports Policy (specifically AP3415; Sport in the RAF and JSP 660).
