New initiative demonstrates our continued support during Covid-19 lockdown
The Royal Air Force Central Fund is excited to announce a new partnership with exercise industry giant Myzone to offer all serving RAF personnel considerable discounts on their heart rate monitoring system. To launch this partnership and support the RAF during Covid-19, we are offering the first 1,500 applicants the opportunity to purchase a Myzone 3 belt for the exceptional price of £24.00 – that is an 81% discount on the RRP of £129.00. As the charity for sport and physical activity, our partnership with Myzone will help support personnel during lockdown restrictions by facilitating, motivating and incentivsing them to exercise.
“We’re delighted to announce this new partnership, particularly at the moment as the coronovirus outbreak has put a temporary halt to RAF Sport and personnel being able to access Station gyms,” explains RAF Central Fund CEO Ross Perriam. “Having used one of their belts myself, I can honestly say they offer a fantastic way to monitor and record your exercise efforts and fitness levels. And for those that like competition, the system also provides a great platform through which you can challenge yourself against others. Through Myzone we hope to create a workout community that will bring us together through exercise when lockdown restrictions are keeping us apart.”
MyZone has provided 1,500 unique discount codes to the RAF Central Fund for the £24.00 offer and these are being made available on a first come first served basis by emailing myzone@rafcf.org.uk and verifying they are serving personnel by providing their rank, station, MOD email address AND a personal email address. Thereafter, anyone else in the RAF wishing to purchase a belt can still get one for less than half price through the Central Fund’s partnership.
The Myzone heart rate system is already being successfully used by some RAF Stations and Sports Associations and this will only increase thanks to the Fund’s charitable initiative. Those who already have belts and would like to join the RAF Central Fund’s community can do so by requesting a change to their Myzone Facility Code (RAFCFUK000) or by connecting with RAF Central Fund members through their Myzone App.
