The Royal Air Force Cricket Association provides opportunities for serving personnel to play the game.
From celebrating prestigious alumni such as the legendary England batsman Jack Hobbs to welcoming those who pick up a bat for the first time, we use our sport to contribute fully to the generation of combat capability and warrior spirit in the RAF Whole Force.
Cricket combines concentration, quick reflexes and hand-eye coordination. It improves aerobic fitness, stamina and strength and can be played inside and outside, at any age and physical ability – it is a truly inclusive activity.
Not only are there many physical benefits, but the sport also improves mental wellbeing. Cricket requires high concentration and focus, which can help people develop their cognitive skills. It also provides a sense of achievement and accomplishment, which can help boost self-confidence and self-esteem.
Our association is hosted at one of the RAF Central Fund’s properties, Vine Lane near Uxbridge.
